Together, We Can Amplify Voices
Help Woodside to upgrade its outdated, ineffective sound systems!
Our 2024 Spring Auction Fund-a-Need initiative will provide:
A new sound system for the Performing Arts Center. Audiences will be able to hear our student actors and musicians from all rows and sections
A new sound system for Bradley Field. Spectators will be able to hear our band, sports announcements during games, and safety announcements during emergency situations
A new sound system for the Large Gym. Students will be able to hear instructions for standardized and AP tests, as well as announcements made during basketball games, class meetings, spirit events, information sessions, and awards ceremonies

Our Campaign Goals
$1,500 per student
We recognize that a gift at this level might not be a possibility for some families; others may be in a position to give multiples of this gift. If you are able, please consider helping to bridge the gap on behalf of others.
600 Donations
Vital financial support of academic programs only happens when members of the Woodside community come together to support this work. We need your help! Every donation matters and all gifts are appreciated!
Meet Our Community’s Unique Needs
Being a socio-economically diverse community means that annual philanthropic giving plays an especially critical role in our success. Our fundraising goal is to maintain current academic programming, keep pace with rising costs, fund the new College Access Program and fund additional programs needing greater support.
Your Generous Donations Fund These Academic Programs
Woodside High School is socio-economically, ethnically, and academically diverse.
Educating all students to their highest potential is a challenge embraced at Woodside High School. We are proud that 95% of graduates are college bound.
The cultural and socio-economic diversity of Woodside High School demonstrate the power and advantage of diversity in education. Almost a third of our families are socioeconomically disadvantaged and slightly more are first-generation college-bound. Many more students are learning English as a second language. The Woodside High School Foundation supports the school’s expansive academic programming – including additional enrichment, advanced placement curriculum and learning support – which are vital to the diverse learning community and critical to post-secondary success.
Donation Distribution 2023-2024
Each year the Foundation raises money for the following school year. With $1.6 million raised last school year, Woodside High School is poised for a successful 2023-2024 academic year. The immediate value of each donation is apparent. The long term value for our community is greater. This only happens with your help. Thank you!
Why We Fund…
Closing the College Equity Gap
We fund the College Access Program (CAP) and an additional college counselor in an effort to give every student, regardless of their background, the support they need to apply to college. These supports help to close the equity gap, reduce college application stress, motivate students to work harder and inspire some to dream bigger! Over time we hope even more students will gain entrance to the college of their choice and attend 4-year colleges upon graduation.

The Mental Health Center
In response to the nationwide teen mental health epidemic, we fund 50% of the Center’s costs which enabled them to host 1900 student visits last year.
Additional Guidance Counselor
The additional Guidance Counselor improves the student to counselor ratio by 20%. This allows students greater access to a holistic support system that bolsters their success.
Smaller Classes
Smaller classes improve teacher retention and students benefit from greater opportunity for class discussion, individual feedback, and deeper connection.
Expanded Elective Offering
Additional elective periods enable students to receive their first choice 95% of the time and are critical to a quality high school experience. They also help foster passions in subjects that provide pathways to careers and post-secondary interests.
