The Woodside High School Foundation builds a strong foundation of educational excellence by funding class size reduction for core, elective, and AP courses, additional class sections of electives, support programs and services for all students, and teacher grants for classroom projects.
In fiscal year 2015-16, almost 300 donors gave more than $900,000 to Woodside High School through the Foundation. As a result, many of our students are attending classes with a lower student-to-teacher ratio, including AS and AP English and math. Class size reduction touches an impressive 64 classrooms, providing students with a personalized, encouraging classroom experience. Our students are also able to take advantage of a robust variety of elective courses, including Debate, Mobile Apps, and Entrepreneurship. And virtually all students benefit from increased academic support, including assistance at The Den, state-of-the-art equipment for our new science and technology programs, summer enrichment classes, and guidance from two College and Career Counselors.
Our students and faculty rely on the Foundation to support Woodside’s strong tradition of educational excellence for all.
