In 1993, a small group of concerned parents and community members recognized the increasing threat facing our public schools from declining state funding established the Foundation for the Future with individual chapters at Woodside, Menlo-Atherton, Carlmont and Sequoia high schools.
In 2007, the Foundation for the Future was disbanded and each school now operates its own nonprofit foundation. Woodside High School Foundation was established with the mission of making a sustainable, positive impact on the quality of education for all Woodside High School students. In its first year, the Foundation raised $14,000. Last year, over $1,000,000 was raised for the benefit of our school.
Today, you can see the impact of our work in virtually every classroom and every support service on campus. Woodside High School has increased the number of CSU/UC eligible seniors by 5% each of the last two years as a result of the Foundation’s focus on improving the classroom and learning experience for all Woodside students.
