History & Mission

In 1993, a small group of concerned parents and community members recognized the increasing threat facing our public schools from declining state funding. They established the Foundation for the Future with individual chapters at Woodside, Menlo-Atherton, Carlmont and Sequoia high schools. In 2007, the Foundation for the Future was disbanded and each school now operates its own non-profit foundation.

The mission of the Woodside High School Foundation remains the same:
to making a sustainable, positive impact on the quality of education for all Woodside High School Students. The first year, the Foundation raised $14,000. In 2007, over $500,000 was raised for the benefit of the school.

Today, you can see the impact of our work in virtually every classroom and every support service on campus. The Foundation has consistently sought to raise the bar on the quality of education by introducing new tools and techniques and supporting those programs and curriculum that produce exceptional results.

Our Mission:

Woodside High School Foundation is dedicated to making a sustainable, positive impact on the quality of education for all Woodside High School Students.
